SAS North Africa 1942/1943

Post by rodrant »

Final reveal ...

Final comments on this build ,

the Building thread here :

http://intscalemodeller.com/viewtopic.php?f=404&t=13494

Finish the base using some AK North Africa sand pigments , some dry bushes from Ad-On Parts in 1:48 and 1:35 , some stones that I painted ...well I liked the end result ...ordered some plate to the base and glued the metal ' who dares wins ' cap badge ( think it is a replica...) , but a nice addition to the base ! In the end I just glued the photo and no acrylic placed as I did not liked the look of it ...

IT was good to participate in this SiG , maybe I will go to some plane build , will see what I have around . ;)

Hope you like it !

The Photos of the final reveal :

Image

noticed the plate is mentioning 1943 ...so 1943 will be , even i believe that this Photos were taken in 1942 , already saw some info on the net that the photo is from 1943 ...

Looks fantastic, you've recreated an iconic picture well.

The only negative point would be the lighting which you've mentioned. Try and take it outside and take some pics. But well done :th:
