1/48 Hasegawa Vought F4U7 Corsair

Post by wally »

Hello Dear Modelers

This my final reveal of my latest build Vought F4U7 Corsair from the Hasegawa kit in 1/48. I choose for this markings of Flottille 15F FRENCH NAVY on board of Arromanches in 1956.

The kit it self was very nice and goes together very well. The only problem I have where the decals especially the big one the yellow-black strips. They don't conform very well I have to put numbers of coat Micro sol on them to force them to conform to the panel lines. Lesson learned for the future it's better to paint the strip then apply from decal sheet. Rest of the kit goes together very well. I add PE seat belts for the cockpit and replace kit engine with resign one. Also the wheels are replace by resign replacement. Model was painted using Gunze C365 Sea Gloss Blue withe the bleaching done by mixing this paint with off white color. Weathering was done using Flory models Grime Wash and Tamiya pigments. I also add some chipping using siler pencil. I try to recreate the have weathered aircraft from the Sues Canal Conflict. So this it I hope you will like it :th:
