Tamiya 1/35 Nashorn , 519th Heavy Anti-Tank Battalion Eastern Front 1944 - Final Reveal

Post by rodrant »

So my Final Reveal Photos of this build odissey :-)

I was a little streesed with the buils when I couldn't do my first plan , in the end I liked a lot the final result , the Tamiya kit I recommend it , for me it is a wonderfull kit to be done OOB , even if you do not add after market goodies it will be one great piece , I only have twp brass ammo in mine ,all the rest is in the box ! a 20/20 kit for me ! Even the figures ar very nice with a lot of action on them ! We can see the gunsman inside the NAshorn ready to punch a hole in some T-34 or JS-2 tank somewhere in EAst Prussia final defense pockeys , very, very nice !

My building thread here :

http://intscalemodeller.com/viewtopic.php?f=582&t=21037

Alpine figures, to me one f the great brands in 1/35 figures , the result with a little patience and painting come superb !

The snow and Ice form Precision Modelling Ice and Snow ...well you must try them , at first I was a little affraid to use them , in the end the resukt is just great ! Simple to use with great realism ( and I wasn't too ambitious... :-) )

A word to FLying Dutchman (Frans) , he made a build on the last year 'From Russia with Love' also using the some Ice and Snow products , I read a lot of times his thread Build , and was of great help for me !

So the Photos :

Great job. Love the broken ice!
The camo looks great too! The slushed on effect makes it come to life!!

It's a pitty about the color of your pics. They're very brownish.
If you like, I could clean them up for you like this one:
