Revell 1:90 Tie Interceptor

Post by Astaroth »

Hey all,

here are some photos of my finished Revell 1:90 Tie Interceptor.

For being such a small kit, it's beautifully detailed IMO. Unfortunately there is a large gap at the seam
between the two cockpit pieces and I didn't notice until I had primed all parts. At that stage I just didn't feel like
filling the gap and repriming everything, so it will stay there. This was only my second model, so I'll leave some room
for improvement in the future. 8-)

All parts where primed with Alclad II black primer and microfiller and then painted with a custom mix of Vallejo model air, which
I'm quite happy with:
2 parts Light Grey
2 parts White
1 part Pale Grey Blue

I didn't do any post shading or weathering on this model, as I felt that the black primer provided enough preshading already.

Ok, now here are the photos. Enjoy.

Don't be shy about constructive comments and critique. I would really appreciate some input. :D

Factory fresh, eh?

I'd like to see some faint weathering. Looks too crisp. Nice job though! :thumb1:

Thanks, man. Let's see how the base will look, when it's finished (see my build thread: http://intscalemodeller.com/viewtopic.php?f=42&t=18550)
I just might decide, that a bit of weathering will be needed then. ;)
