In-Box Review Mirage Hobby 1/350 HMS Anchusa

Post by Rob »

This is an in-box review of my next project - Mirage Hobby 1/350 Flower Class Corvette HMS Anchusa. It also takes a look at a photo etch set produced for the model by White Ensign Models.

The Box

Three sprues - all nicely moulded, good detail, little flash etch

Instruction sheet in four A4 pages - easy to follow, nice rigging diagram on last page (will I, wont I?)

Paint scheme - an unusual Mountbatten Pink (nice)

Decals

All very nice but railings are absent and I could not resist the temptation to purchase my first ever PE set (which cost more than the kit )

Postscript - Mirage Hobby have just released another ship of the Flower Class - HMS Spirea - this includes PE railings and ladders :bash:

That was a great review Rob,
top notch, then you included some of the historical info too. Well that just made it all better.
Nicely done and thank you!

Sorry about the ads on the video folks - being new to this I rather naively used some music from my library for background to the opening. Seems like YouTube have picked this up and rather then barring the video have placed annoying adverts on it. I wont make the same mistake agaIn
