Meng 1/35 Merkava MK3D early

Post by rodrant »

So Here it is the final reveal on this Meng 1/35 Merkava Mk3 D 'early' , I learned now that this was the 1st Armor kit form Meng , and in my opinion a beautiful kit , with its very small detailed pieces , but for sure a great kit for the experient modeller , maybe I shouldn't choose this kit for my first experiment in Modern Armor , but in the end and after all the work I liked very much the final result .If I recommend this kit ? Yes , it has some difficulties , a lot of Plastic PE as I have mentioned in build thread , but the final result is very good ...

The building thread is here :

http://intscalemodeller.com/viewtopic.php?f=333&t=10668

The two tank crew man that I used are form Valkirye , it was also a first experiment with this brand and the figures are very nice detailed in resin .

The base of the diorama is from Model scene ( buy it trough Reality in Scale ) , this are very nice bases , you soak them in water, glue them , and presto , you have a nice base for your dioramas . I use this option as this is really a BIG tank and I think to use a small resin wall , but the tank is in all place in the diorama base , so will use it in some other time ...well enough talking , here are the reveal photos :
