1/48 Heinkel HE 219A7 UHU - Final Reveal

Post by rodrant »

So here are my final reveal photos of my fisrt entry in this fantastic GB

The kit is wonderful , for the subject , even there are more later kits in the market , this kit is from 1997 , and even OOB will make a stunning model in your shelves , imagine that with some aftermarket will look much better :-) , I have another that I just may built it in future using some aftermarket goodies, well not this one ... The paint job was the more challenging to me , even I already do soem mottling before , this camo scheme was hard to do and admit that could be better , also I didn't placed the aerials wires for the antenas, being an OOB build I should use streched sprue , but I didn't use it and prefer to place after some Uschi's rigging line , and this plane will get a base , as I intend to present it in my Local Model Show , but we are always learning and I try to learn from each Build and the ISM's GB's and SiG's are great to try new techniques , enough talk , hre are the photos , with the poor quality that I usual present  , sorry , I always keep mention that I must have better conditions to take the photos , but ...

So my building thread was here :

Thank you ! , well the mottling was the hardest part of the build , it took me two nights , and learned something doing it , as you must have the correct ratio of paint/thinner , and even at the end the paint seemed more fluid , also to do this in two days , you noticed the difference in size maybe , I start on the right wing , then fuselage , tail and finally left wing ...if you checkyou noticed that I begin with a small size , it is hard to do at free hand , bit to me it will be the way to do it in future , I try with metal masks from Eduard, and not worked for this camo scheme , but we are always learning and in the end in my opinion is a wonderful aircraft to me to watch in my shelf , I'm going to finish it later with a small base and took it to my Local Hobby Show this year , always good to see the reaction to this camo schemes :-)

That looks smashing mate, the paintwork is a scheme that would fill me with dread to do, so to do it that well is top draw stuff. Love it :th:
