Benc123's Portfolio

Post by benc123 »

Hi Guys, I have been modelling for just under a year now and am loving it! I model anything that takes my fancy, but seem to be making my way through WW2 at the moment! I have been on other forums, but I feel as though i have found a home here, it is just so friendly! I also have to say that being on the same forum as those guys i watch and respect on youtube is cool!!! :banana:

I brush paint all my models and have not ventured into aftermarket yet. Both of these things (Air brush/aftermarket) are things that will come in the future, when i feel i am producing models to a reasonable level.

Anyway here is what i have produced so far. Please feel free to comment/criticise. It is how we improve. :cheers2: In order they were built;

Good job on the Airacobra.

I am having a go at that one at the moment, what a kit!! I am glad I only paid £1.99 for it as a practice kit.

Nothing seems to fit on it. The canopies and the landing gear covers especially. I have just thrown the front landing gear covers away and scratchbuilt new ones from sheet styrene. They fit so badly you would think they were for another kit entirely.

You did a good job to get a crappy kit like this to look as good as you did, well done mate.

I counted 17 different models....that's a lot of building in less than a year! You can see the progression of your skills from the first to the last. I love the Heinkell, the P-51, the Razorback and the Zero! Beautiful models :) :thumb1: :thumb1: :clap: :clap:
