Cool, looks like a nice kit...I was debating with myself either Hasegawa or Tamiya but finally decided on the Tamiya kit.
Will be very interesting to see this one come together.
Lycka till!!
Good luck!

That's a lovely cockpit set and the decal choice is perfect!

Thanks guys!
Have done a bit more work, first was to fit the front landing gear bay. Since you need to cut out the plastic one, the resin also has part of the inside of the intake. The fit is not the best and needed a couple of mm of filler. I used Milliput as it's a two component filler and shouldn't shrink like a normal one component, like regular Tamiya putty.
This was then sanded and given a really thin layer of Tamiya putty just to smooth the edges.
The fuselage was a bit warped and needed a few rubber bands to close.
It only needed a little bit of filler in the front, I think this could have been avoided if I had spent a bit more time fitting the cockpit because when I test fitted it with the kit cockpit it looked like it wouldn't need any filler.
Also got the landing gear bays painted, just sprayed white and detail painted. Finished it off with some AK landing gear wash.

The progress on this has been really slow lately since I needed a mask set that I finally got the other day so now I can start painting.

All build and masked waiting for primer.

Used the Badger primer for the first time for this. I have been thinking of getting some for some time but it cost quite a bit here in Sweden. But I went and got a bottle today, wow, now I understand why everybody is praising it so much. Sprayed perfectly and gave a really nice and smooth finish.

Thanks!
Managed to get some paint on it, was a bit unsure about the colors to use. The decals says that the light grey blue should be FS35237, but I think both the Vallejo and Gunze versions of this is way to grey so I mixed something that I was happy with using Gunze H337 and H323. The other colors are MIG Ammo FS36270 and Tamiya XF-20. I did have some paint peel off when I removed the masking, this was around the cockpit where I had some over spray so I will need to touch up those areas.

That looks very nice
but just to make sure i understand it
Did you used the tamiya smoke on the panel lines after you painted the camo colors
and is that in a similar way you would do pre shading but on top of the camo instead of under the camocolors

The idea was to get something similar to the effect of pre shading, but also adding some streaks and dirt at the same time.
