got this one off of eBay box was a bit battered and the kit had been started (just the engine)
I was after this kit for years, I believe Revell have the moulds
the aircraft will be built out of the box but using Airfix Acrylics
needs a hefty 20 g nose weight so looking for some weights, might be a visit to a tackle shop lol
will post some more photos soon of box are and instructions
thanks for the comments

the Engine - bit basic - but a reasonable representation of the power unit
quite a bit of this was damaged when i got the kit so i left it off as i intend to have the cover closed
i'm a big beleiver that if it's included in the kit then i fit it

It falls in the right time frame and the US and Canada used it... both are NATO countries... I'd say that would qualify her.

Hi Folks
just had a couple of weeks off - went on a break to Appledore in Devon then a week at home - did a bit of work on my WIP so here a few shots
Sea Venom - nearly complete - OOB build - i'm pretty please with the work so far - need to add small details (aerial and rockets) a few touch ups then finished :blob:
hope you like my models

She shines like a new penny!
Certainly is a eye catcher, those decals really set her off.
Well done!

the nose was black plastic - as a trial i polished the plastic then a coat of Humbrol Clear - turned out pretty well i think
nearly finished - i've lost the holes for the aerials under the lower wind roundals lol - i'm sure they will turn up and will add the rockets (although they are a bit crude) then quick coat of clear to seal and it's done

I'll be looking forward to seeing that. That's a really cool trick with the nose. I don't think that I would have thought of that myself. Clever boy!!

That is beautiful Graham.
A very striking piece buddy.
That nose cone is the selling feature dude. It brings it all together.
Good work.
If you haven't already, you should post some shots of her in the Air Gallery in the Members Gallery section.

Hi been playing with a wash - updated photos

what do you think? there are not many panel lines on the Sea Venom but i think makes them stand out better
comments + and - welcome (but be gentle

)
the wash was home made using black water colour paint - some water and a drop of washing up liquid to break the surface tension
