Asuka Sherman V the Brittish M4A4

Post by MarkVerploeg »

Ho guys
This is a small reveal for my Sherman V that i finished today along with it's brother the Firefly
A big difference is the gun this one still has a regular 75mm main gun instead of a 17 pdr
But there are some other differences aswell
It is a Asuka kit but i added parts from the Verlinden stowage set for a Tamiya M4
In doing so i had to adept the big stowage part on the front quite a bit by sanding a big layer from the back of that part
I also left off all the parts like lifting eyes and head lights
The kit like the Firefly is a nice kit to build with tons of detail that i never saw on Dragon Shermans or other brands that i made in the past

Nicely finished.
Avoid the Dragon orange box Shermans they are weak kits with instructions even worse than Dragon's normally bad instructions. The Shermans from Dragon's normal line might be okay, but the orange box ones aren't (I just finished the M4A1 and Ic Firefly, both orange box....).

Thanks Forbes
I have 1 orange box kit of a M4A4
But i plan on using that as a base for a Crab mine sweaper conversion kit
As far as i know all Dragon Shermans have the same bad fit on top of the transmissionhoussing
Other then that they aren't that bad

Great work Mark. Love all the stowage and that subtle paint job on the hull. Really impressive.
Its been tried and tested, it works! So don't blame the system if you're no good.
