I'm must say that I'm really amazed with what some of you can make in 1/72 scale , and you Rob are doing a masterpiece I believe , I'm a plane guy , but I passed some of my recent hours through all these great pieces of modelling and really , this is like art to me !!!

Cheers ,

Thank you all for your kind and encouraging words
Tiger 1 Late - painting the camouflage and a few more figures
Tiger…
Same process as the Schwimmwagen (all paints are Tamiya)
A bit of shading with Hull Red followed by a light base coat of varying shades of Dark Yellow mixed with Deck Tan

Field applied camo. Green lines and patches with Dark Green (I am using the scheme uppermost in the instruction sheet as a rough guide)

Followed by lines and patches of Dark Brown

All tied together with a thin, thin, thin dusting of a darkish shade of the base colour (the three tank sub sections are just loosely fitted).

I have also done a further handful of figures

Next up will be detail painting
Thanks for looking and commenting. Cheers for now

Looking great Rob. The details you achieve on 1/72 figures is incredible- what's the number of your optician? Can't wait to see this scene come together.

That really is wonderful work so far Rob.
The camo looks superb bud, and as alway, your figures are marvellous.

My goodness, what nice words! Thank you all for your support. I am away from my work bench for a while but hope to be able to return to it soon - after which more updates will be provided.
The figures have been fun to do but, being soft plastic, have presented a few new problems for me. In a future post, I hope to be able to describe in full my approach to working on these little gems.
Cheers for now, back soon

Very nice. The subtle camo on tiger looks also awesome - The Airbrush is better than a brush
. I look forward with interest to more Rob
