Finish this dio , and will be my last build this year as I will go on Hollidays till the New Year , and no styrene for two weeks ...a good time to prepare all the GB's and SiG's Builds for next year and decide what to do !
Well this diorama was made using two Reality in Scale Resin kits , a Coblestone base , and a Cafe diorama ... thought that will be the perfect base for placing my Tamiya Sherman M4A3 75 mm Gun , come with three GI's with some action poses !
I Give Reality in Scale Resin Kits a 11 , in a scale from 1 to 10 ...very nice , almost no sanding , and very, very nice end result ! It wasn't a cheap diorama , must say , but enjoyed very much doing it !
Painted all with Tamiya acrylics , weathering with some AK interactive pigments in the cobblestone before adding Tamiya Texture Snow ( also somehow a very realistic Snow ) and when applying the snow in some parts mixed with the pigments give the idea of a dirty snow ...it was a nice effect ! Added a reality in Scale poster from some stuff that already have in my stash and the Cafe board ( the one in the wall ) is from Verlinden sheet from Signals and boards from Ardennes Battle . Some sprinkled Snow from Reality in scale , it is some sort of white pigment that can be glued in very thinned PVA glue .
the Cafe sign in the wall mount come with the resin kit , the wall mount is in Laser cut cardboard ...very nice also , The water fountain come also with the kit , it is very complete and a stunning visual , you could make a base to show your models with ease !
About the Tamiya kit , well , I think it is a great kit , in the sense that you can build a very nice Sherman with added figures , and come with stowage and everything you need to make a quick and easy build OOB, maybe there are many other Sherman Kits better than this , I believe there are and already saw some reviews , but if you are new to build AFV's , then I think it is an easy kit to build and very enjoyable one , and that's what is important at least to me , and to have FUN building kit's !
Painting the Sherman : First I painted with Olive Drab 2 in Spray from Tamiya ( it wasn't the real Olive Drab used from the USA , but to me was ok ! ) , then the snow , I Use a Tamiya weathering pen , and the effect of the painted white 'quickly' applied to be a Camo in WW2 winter was nice in the end , saw some pictures of the real stuff and almost is convincing ....
So Bla , Bla ....enough talking , here are the pictures :

So Merry Christmas everybody !
A Great New Year full of good things to all !
