Dragon 1/35 M48A3 Mod B - Finished!

Post by alextheblue »

Well, it was touch and go as I didn't start on the base until yesterday and managed to finish it up this morning. I'ts entirely my fault as the tank has been finished for ages and the figures were done a couple of weeks ago, so I had all that time in order to a dio for it. Instead I decided to build a second truck for the 6 Wheels or More SiG and then a Sherman Firefly I had in the stash jumped out onto my cutting mat and just started to put itself together - naughty Sherman!! What can I say, I have a butterfly mind and I'm easily distracted - ooooh, shiny paper!

What can I say about this kit, it's a Dragon and like most of their kits it was an absolute dream to build. The figures were Verlinden and my first experience of resin and all I can say is, I like a lot!! Will definitely be doing more resin bits and bobs in the future. The dio/base is only my third attempt and whilst it wasn't quite what I had in mind, it turned out okay and kinda does what I need it to do.

Anyways, that's enough of the waffle as there's plenty of that in my build thread - who said, "too much!!"

And as they say, that's all she wrote.

A big thank you for taking a look and especially to everyone for their comments and encouragement along the way. And an even bigger thank you to everyone for all their great entries into this SiG, there is some truly awesome work on show and it is quite an inspiration reading all the fantastic build threads whilst drooling over all the great pics.

Have a very Happy New Year everyone!! :cheers2: :cheers2:

Nice work! The figures really add to the finished look. However, I hope that is tobacco and not that other stuff. You know what I mean.
