"The Drop Off" Scammell Tank Transporter Reveal.

Post by wappynutter »

Okay Guys, first time using the new layout... Looks very much the same but different... :
But anyways, thanks everyone for taking the time to look, comment and post over at my build thread, your support has been very much appreciated. :thumb2:
I know i like to photo spam every thread and post i share, this will be no exception... Sorry..
Its the challenge of that "One" perfect image to portray all the things you like or have enjoyed # or think others might enjoy! #
Poor lighting, lack of space and not so great equipment will always be my undoing..
This rushed collection i am about to share will show just what i mean..
The purple background images are all in artificial lighting some with, some without flash. The white background are the natural lighting, again a couple use the flash to pick out the dark spots...

So finally here is my Entry, "The drop off... Tobruk 1942"
Thanks... :thumb1:
:pop: :pop: :pop: :pop: :pop: :pop: :pop: :pop:
Take some popcorn and find a seat!... There are many images again....

Thanks Dan, its no way near as good as I'd like, but for the scale and I think with the extras I have included, I have about lost the crappy Airfix look to the build..... Notice I left the Airfix title off the final reveal thread header.. Lol.... :shhh:
See you later in the week mate... :thumb1:

That is absolutely awesome Andy, everything really ties in nicely together and I love the colour of the tank and the truck. Especially like the pics with the white backdrop, looks really atmospheric.

Top class work as always!! :th: :th:   : : :cheers2: :cheers2:

Thanks Alex, much appreciated Sir...
The white backdrop and natural lighting were the better photos, just me and my rubbish camera that still cannot get that "ONE" picture that paints a thousand words...
Glad you enjoyed all the action taking place around the "drop off"... Mechanics, Tank Commanders pointing and looking while the roof top lookouts kept watch... just in case!.. lol...
Thanks again.. All the best buddy.. :thumb1:

Thanks Yevgeny, very much appreciated mate.. :th:
.. Not a scratch on many of the superb entries revealed in the SiG, but i think it does show what can be achieved with the Small scale... and an Old Airfix kit or two!
Gonna try and upscale over the next year... My Tiger 1 entry is 1/48 so thats a start! lol...
Rising Sun entry is still a tiny Airfix kit though!.. lol..
Thanks again buddy.... :thumb1:
:cheers2:

Thanks Gustav, very much appreciated my friend. :th:
Palm trees at 1/76 scale are usually cast in white metal and are quite costly for what they are so my only cheap option was to improvise a "found" technique on the web.. Luckily it worked okay and my tree looked the part..
Next time I will try some different sizes and styles to see what can be achieved..:
Thanks again, all the best... :thumb1:
