Appreciate the feedback guys. That's correct. Surprisingly the tamiya sprays are very very good. They spray fine mists :) I use cans for monotone vehicles.

I don't have an airbrush or compressor so all my builds have been painted by brushes, or can.

Again, just light passes and gradually build up layers. You get excellent coverage.

Personally I like painting even 1:35 scale by brushes-especially camouflage. I think it adds more personal touch and workmanship to a build.

Just had the abrams washed up. Waiting to dry next to the OshKosh M-atv before I weather with Oils.

Sup guys!

Getting back into finishing this build after a small break.

Decided to add the American flag. I bought double-sided printed paper flags and rolled it up as you see below to make it look realistic.
I used an antenna for the pole and glued the flag to the pole. I squeezed the ends of a small pipe so that the flag won't fall through and that I can take the flag out if I feel like it.

God bless America!

My Pre-Order from PLA Editions of the Abrams book finally came. It is great to use as a guide. Probably not the best in terms of references, but handy to have (similar to the Abrams Squad mags).

As always, my favourite part! Oil rendering.
Using MIG's Oils, Blending brush #6 & Oderless thinner.

I have only managed to do some of the turret first...

Thanks bro! Yeah if you really like Abrams, it's a pretty cool book to have.

Finished the oil rendering on both hull and turret. Next up, splatter effects, fuel stains and this fortress is complete!

Discovered myself a new way of figure painting... Just drybush the whole thing.
I had this thought, as i didn't want to take a long time on figures and having successfully drybrushed a few figures after slopping them with paint, I was like... why not just drybrush everything?

So I did, and it turned out excellent! I like it more than meticulously applying paint. Only took 15mins for both figures. What a time saver :jd:
