Captured by the Marquis

Post by Glen »

I have just completed this small Diorama called 'Captured by the Marquis' kits used Masterbox Maquis French Resistance (MB3551) MK35 Normandy Broken Wall (A090) Tamiya BMW R75 (35016) just the bike and sidecar with 1 figure the passenger, Tamiya Livestock set (35126) just chickens used. I scratched built all the trees and bushes. With the wall only one side is moulded so I scribed the rear of the wall and put toilet tissue soaked in pva to give a rough texture render finish to the wall. I will take some better pictures tomorrow in daylight.

To make the trees I used this plant Cham.Obtusa Snowflake, I purchased this back in the summer from my local garden centre, the plant was dying so I asked if I could have it, they said they dont sell dead plants, but after explaining what I wanted it for they let me have it free along with another one so I put some cash in the charity box. Soaked both plants in a PVA/Water mix and I keep them in my greenhouse for when I need them.

This is some top notch work here! These close ups don't even do it justice I bet, some great photography though!
