Tamiya 1/35 Somua S35

I would like to submit my entry to the GB with the 1/35 S35 Somua kit. I haven't started it yet, but here is a screenshot timestamp and the unopened plastic bags with sprues.

Made a little headway on the running gear and lower hull tonight. I am amazed at how simple, yet detailed these bogies are. Tamiya is blowing it out of the water here.







Also starting to think about camouflage patterns

The Somua's starting to take shape now. I got the top hull cemented on and all the accessories added to it. Next up will be the turret, chef de char and the mind-numbing task of building the tracks.

Finally got some bench time in over the last couple days and laid down the camouflage pattern and pin stripe:









The black pin stripe still needs a bit of a touch up, but that'll have to wait until morning.

Basic weathering. It's not done, but this is the jist of what it'll look like. I'm a bit worried the rondel will stay too bright. Might need to fade it up some how.
