jnbattleship wrote: ↑Tue Apr 04, 2017 6:47 pm Last time I had to spray whole airframe yellow a friend of mine gave me a pointer that worked charms:
a) white primer
b) matte clear coat (apparently primer was not enough matte, I went with it though and it seemed to work)
and yellow went on just wonderfully!
"Don't know if you have tried thinning Tamiya with cellulose thinner Scott I tried it on the Roberts Yamaha some time ago Tamiya paint sprays fabulously when thinned this way I mix about 40% paint 60% thinner and it dries super quick and smooth. Just a thought hope you don't mind mate"

Thanks bud, but you were a BIG help for surejnbattleship wrote: ↑Wed Jun 21, 2017 3:40 pm That is some beautiful yellow! I cant wait to see the whole airframe done. You rock!

Cheers Nev

I have only clear coated the round part on the main rotor, but as per a suggestion from RossiM1, I am just going to clear the flat yellow as it does give a great finish and I don't want to F it up now![]()

You are true gentleman
