Time to update the thread, less than three days to go until the end
The SUV was fully assembled and prepped for weathering. The original plan was to fix the doors in the closed position but for some reason they did not fit in place. The door bowed out in the centre as though it was to big to fit in the gap. I decided to fix them in an open position l, one being slightly more open than the other.
This was then weathered the same was as the other car using the AK dust and dirt deposits.
Both abandoned vehicle's on the dio
The dumpster was chipped using some chipping colour from Mig using a sponge. I then applied a dark wash also from Mig. I applied some light dust using the AK dust and dirt deposits to the top.
I saw a video were someone made some garbage bags using real garbage bags on Facebook so decided to give it a go and make some for the dio. The video was on War-paint facebook page see link below.
Staring off with cutting a strip from along the edge of a bag and then cutting it in to a small section son the base is folded.
The next using a lighter to seal the two edges leaving the top open to form a bag. Tiny bits of paper are then rolled into balls and placed in the bags to fill them.
The tops are then twisted and secured to close up the bags.
These were then glued to the dio near the dumpster at the end of the building. I also added an air con unit to the side of the building. This is from M.A.I.M. It's a resin part with a PE grills. This was painted yellow and then chipped and given a wash. I then drilled four holes in the back and fixed four pieces of wire in them with CA glue. This was then pushed through the foam on the side and secured with some CA glue.
I got back to the Meng F-350 and fitted some accessories to the cab. There's a backpack, water canteen and some water bottles from Meng. I also added a magazine and map these were images from Google which were scaled down and printed out. I gave the interior a wash using Ammo US modern vehicle's wash and some of the AK dust and dirt deposits on the floor. Nothing special as the interior will not be that visible when the body is on and weathering done.
I also added some stowage to the back of the bed. All of this is from the Meng set SPS-014 equipment for modern US vehicle's
The body was then fitted in place along with the rest of the parts all of which fitted with no problems at all.
Now to do the weathering and get cracking with the figures.
Thank you for looking
