This is amazing. Dragon looks like it could leap off the screen any second. Also think they've captured Witcher Geralt quite well too.
What kit is this?

When you say dry brushing, can you describe what your technique, paint and tools
I am picturing you get your dragon’s base colour in and then layer the detail paints over it...but what type of paint and how do dry?

It is looking fantastic :thumb2:

There is a simple technique.

Basically, it's painting with the brush discharged of paint.

You dip a round brush in paint (I use acrylic), discharge the brush on a paper until it hardly paints, and pass the brush over the figure without much pressure.

There are a lot of tutorials in youtube, like that, who explain it better than I do.

Thanks for your comments.

I have started to paint the figure, stock colors without mixing to avoid complicating my life.

Image

There are some parts to be painted, then I'll add lights and shadows and an oil wash.

Status of the whole assembly.

I applied an oil wash.

A wash improves a mediocre painting

A new sword for the witcher

After several failed attempts with plastic strips I finally found the solution using a piece of an aluminum prepared food tray.

I folded it a couple of times to give it more consistency and then polished it with sandpaper, I'm quite happy with the result.

Image

I've made an incision in the handle to make it fit a bit better and to get a better bonding.

Image

That's how it looks, I haven't even had to paint it since polishing it with sandpaper has left a very natural metallic shine.
