Dragon Tiger I Late 3-in-1

Post by wbill76 »

Before I got sucked into building a 1/32 aircraft via a lost bet, I'd worked on Dragon's Tiger I Late Production (kit #6253, to the horror of many a collector out there I'm sure!) with some added goodies in the form of Atak zimmerit and ModelKasten workable tracks.

Image

I opted to go for a 'Normandy' scheme with it but didn't do Wittman's Ride and instead chose a different vehicle in the same unit. Had a lot of fun with it and am looking forward to getting back to armor once my 109F-4/Trop adventure concludes. ;)

That camo is absolutely wonderful!!!! A fine job.
That would have taken a great deal of patience and care to do all of that.
You're a brave Dude!
Interesting choice in muzzle brakes too.
Very cool.

Coen, thanks! The camo work was done over a couple of sessions...fingers would cramp up after a while from holding the AB so close to the surface! :)

Robopaul, mick, Paul, and Tiger131, appreciate the kind words gents!

Hamilkar, have to agree with you on Tigers, glad you like how it turned out! :)

Thanks Paul! Glad you like the big cat. I normally tend towards the less-famous vehicles but every now and then a Tiger or Panther will sneak in too. :)

Lovely work there mate, camo is spot on and weathering is also great. It's great to see some of the less well known commanders vehicles being modeled :)

Thanks Daishi! Nothing against the 'known' aces but I always try to give the 'other guy' a chance in my choice of vehicle markings whenever I can. :)
