Thank you gentlemen
It may seem like a very trivial thing, but by allowing me to screw that gas tank down tight I can get all the fuel lines properly sorted out.
Otherwise, I was wrestling a large moving object while trying to cut tubing to fit to its base and align connections and carbs.
It was a nightmare and it stopped me from modelling for a month or so.
Super happy with this development

Almost there, almost
Bits and bibs are being added. I decided no rear fender looked meaner for a bobber/café racer

A bit more progress
Made the aluminum tailpipe, test fitting here
Hated my paint on the styrene of the kit's kickstart so made an aluminum one and polished it up

Wow Scott, I really like how this is turning out! I have a 1:1 Harley Dyna Street Bob and the minimal styling fits just perfect. While it's not a Vincent, it works for me....
I'm a sucker for the spoked wheels, yours look great. And that heat wrapped exhaust is spot on too. It looks a lot meaner than the photo on the box top, doesn't it?

Ever wonder why motorcycle builds seem to go on for ever and ever?
Well there are some inherent road blocks and issues that seem to crop up when building such motorcycles

Cat delay or not, I am progressing
Soldered a little brass 'T' for the fuel line linkage.
The bike has a partitioned tank and stopcocks on each side. The left and right carbs are linked by this T shape
Then the tank got screwed down after all the brake and such lines were routed and the handlebars glued on
I am almost there

Oh wow, I almost missed this
Absolutely love the bike and especially the leather accoutrements
My mom wouldn't let me have motorcycles, nor will the wife
Getting there
It is driving me bonkers and I want to rush it through to finish but I am taking my time
Outside weather is getting better so I have more jobs to do with non work time than sit and model, so I have unhook the deadline and just will finish when it finishes

Thank you
It looks better, IMHO, without a rear fender so I left it off

I had to loop back to this build as I found her broken on my desk after falling off her shelf…likely from the wind.
The front forks to frame styrene rod has broken and so she has a floppy front end and ripped out wiring and tubing
When building, I took an easy route and did not replace the styrene rods of the front end fork supports with brass. Big mistake
There is a hydraulic post and a support rod in the real forks shown here
I bonded in a brass rod sleeve into the frame and then used the appropriate brass rod to pass through that sleeve.
This way there is no slop or play in the forks.
It would have been far easier to do all this withought the wiring and all the collateral damage I make not to mention finger prints on the polished paint
The hydraulic post got a sleeve of aluminum to fit over it and got ca glued into place.
Now up on a stand and back into the shelf

Only minor pain and anger finding it broken...but I was smart and left it alone so my temper didn't damage it more

This is one spectacular build/conversion considering the base kit was originally a Matchbox kit and was first released in 70's / 80's era and since reissued by Revell.
I would be happy just to build a good model from this kit stock, so all the more credit to Scott for the very creative work he has done to this model.
This has been a very interesting thread to follow.
