The red white and blue scheme is striking, not perfect mind you, but striking. Was painted with Blue Tamiya by masking off the pattern by hand and then pin striping the red border.

Hey Gav, good to chat on live show with ya, looking forward to your Represol bike build; god help you if you follow Will...it will take a month just to watch his long drawn out videos :lol: :tongue: :roll: I miss him on ISM

I have a bit of a jet thing going on for some reason.......they are the race cars of the sky
Weird thing is I am less hot on my vehicles for some reason :scratch:: :think:
Not sure why, got a HUGE collection of cars to to build. That and WWI Planes as well....hope those urges come back to me

Excellent work buddy! :bow::

Both Phantoms looks awesome, but the Thundbird is spectacular - love the base as well. It's a really nice display-piece :clap: :clap:

PS. I'm also in a jet aircraft period right now, so many cool aircrafts that I want to build :tongue:

Done for April 2017 Egg Build sig Meng B-17G Bomber. Fun little kit
Done in Bare Metal Foil(s) with felt pens for colours with no paint other than the yellow prop blurs and the grey Ultimate primer on the base
I had to eat chocolate eggs for the bomb's foil and used only the gross yellow jellybeans for shape inside the bombs
Base is a drywall cutout from the house build with taping mud slopped on it and Ultimate grey primer, dark and light Ultimate dirt weathering products

Must...resist...buying...Egg-17...

Love, love, love this eggie, man. The concept is hilarious and the foil looks amazing. I'd never know it wasn't paint and considering how much tooth gnashing I do covering a cockpit for masking with foil I think you must have the patience of a saint.

Thanks Jason, it was a lot of fun fooling around with foil and felt....actually inspired by your 'Tamiya products only' truck build
I tells ya, I KNOW you can BMF an aircraft no problem.
The compound curves suck a little, but the window framework is reasonable and the flat surfaces foil themselves.

Thankfully my background in Compliance has trained me to org my files/file names in an anal way. Sort of. I keep files on the PC as well as a back up HD and have (lately) been naming them with year, build, number so I don't get confused. Anymore.

One quick way I like to use is to upload my batch of pics to the PC, then select all the pics and then rename them the same thing, (for example: 2017 J2M3). It will automatically tag each one with a number in order. 2017 J2M3 (1), 2017 J2M3 (2), 2017 J2M3 (3), and so on. Hardly ever lose my place now. Hardly.
