Build Log: Day 1
Well, Not much is going to get accomplished today. I kind of celebrated the coming of the new year to much last night!!!
I was originally planning to paint the model in a MERDC camouflage pattern. But, I've seen so many early Bradleys' painted in MERDC, Nato camo or desert tan. Therefore, I've decided to go with the second painting option in the instructions. An overall OD paint job. The decals for this option is for the 3rd ID on maneuvers in West Germany. It's different, from what I've seen. Hopefully, the decals will work. But, I believe the decals are shot...
I'm not a rivet counter. So, I will be taking "artistic liberties" with this kit...
Tomorrow will b a busy day, so I hope to be able to get a little time with the kit...
To be continued!!!

Re: 1/35 Tamiya M3 Bradley (35131)
Put the decals in a plastic bag and leave them in the direct sun for a day or so, or even tape it to the window. I've done this to yellowed decals and it clears them up pretty well.

The pictures take up less room on the page and it's free to use!

Re: 1/35 Tamiya M3 Bradley (35131)
Build Log: Day 2
Started by taking Mr. Coens' advice. Since the kit is older (1985), he suggested that I should check the plastic. To make sure it can handle the newer (hot) cements, so I did just that with some sprue...

Next, I cut of the rear spindle plates (If that's the wrong name for the parts, please forgive me!!! I'm an aircraft man!!!). The parts had the part numbers and an ejection pin mark on both. (Part B69 on the left and the corrected B70 on the right)

While fitting the above parts, I discovered this...

So, I proceeded to fill the location hole in the hull... (Must have been originally been setup as a motorized kit)

Parts then glued into place...

Finally, I added the front drive spindles/boxes and some brackets...

Not as much as I wanted to get accomplished, but it was a busy day...

Hello eightfooticeman,
Unfortunately, I don't think I'll be able to finish on time. On February 1st, I had a heart attack and the build suffered a stoppage. Today is the first day I've touched it and I'm to far behind to meet the deadline...
I will post pictures for the Bradley once completed...
Thanks
