I hope you bought shares in the masking tape company, lol!
Nice paintwork, great detailing!

Hi all well all the detail painting on the hull is done.
I've glued the cannons on the sinking side as when it's attached to the base I think it would be very difficult.
Added to the base, need to get some more Poundland bathroom sealant now for the sea

Hi all next update
I was going to add some stays but Airfix would have you use the God awful plastic coated cotton ratline thingies so no hole through the crows nest
Wish I hadn't added the main stays now as drilling out the holes in the crows nest will probably slacken them all off

The ones posted on Imgur are visible if you use a VPN set to a location outside of the UK.
The last 6 posts though aren't on Imgur but a site called i66.tinypic.com which apparently closed its photo hosting service back in July 2019.

Thanks for the feedback Neil.
I built the Revell one when it was first released.
More accurate than the old Airfix kit.
Painting it was a bit of a challenge doing all those colourful figures.
A note for anyone building either kit. There is a company named Artisania Latina who make a wooden Vasa kit. On their website you can find a guide to painting all those figures that you can download.

Thats worth knowing - thanks. I admit I'm tempted by this kit, now re-released as a vintage classic, - and Hellers 1/100 HMS Victory.
I built the Victory years ago, only got round to rigging the lower masts before life intervened. Left it in my parents house, Mum passed in '93, Dad in '07. Got back to the house after the funeral to find the sisters husbands family had been in during the funeral "sorting things" - which translates to one of his brothers taking all the models I'd built and left and throwing them - literally - into a corner as, to use the last words he spoke that day, "kids trash". I'm afraid I lost it......
