You going to paint a pilot up as prince William? ?
Ok that is hilarious
That was one of my ideas...William showing Charles around his chopper
Can't believe you guessed that. I have also wanted to do a water rescue scene, so we shall see how it pans out

Last time I had to spray whole airframe yellow a friend of mine gave me a pointer that worked charms:
a) white primer
b) matte clear coat (apparently primer was not enough matte, I went with it though and it seemed to work)
and yellow went on just wonderfully!

Yep, the white primer was going to be my choice, interesting matt clear idea
Now if my Ultimate order hadn't been fumbled by Canada Post, I would use my nice new Apex brush to spray the Ultimate white, but nope

Don't know if you have tried thinning Tamiya with cellulose thinner Scott I tried it on the Roberts Yamaha some time ago Tamiya paint sprays fabulously when thinned this way I mix about 40% paint 60% thinner and it dries super quick and smooth. Just a thought hope you don't mind mate

Awesome can't wait to see your build, I love this aircraft especially in this colour scheme. When I saw the box art & had a flash back to my childhood to a day with my grandad when we saw one landing in Glasgow at the rive Clyde. Can't remember much, I was about 10ish early 80s I'm sure the Navy had some destroyers there to, but it was the Sea King that made a lasting impression.

So let's lay this all out on the desk and see what is what
Sprue photos....they were all looose in the little box. I have bagged them up. Lots of flash, ejector marks and raised rivet detail. Missing a support rod for one of the pontoons.....may have to resin cast it if not in PE already
Some bonus stuff included in the instructions.
My Canadian seller sent along personal photos of a tour of one of these beasties
I have some PE
A wise bird mentioned Prince Charles and William.....well maybe
