"Killer Chick" - 1/72 A-10A Thunderbolt II

Here is the reveal for my Academy 1/72 A-10A Thunderbolt II in the colours of Captain Kim Campbell, call-sign "Killer Chick" during operation Desert Storm. The beaten up T-72 on the base is a Revell kit.
The kit wasn't a nightmare but did have a few niggles with alignment and fit, as well as the lack of pilot and gear-up options to make it a little frustrating. I'd probably think twice before picking up another Academy kit but overall I'm happy with the way it looks especially as aircraft are very much my Achilles heel.
The build thread is
here if you'd like to take a look.
So onto the photos...
Switching to a blue background
And a little something from the magic of photoshop to finish
Thanks for looking!

What a great result! I particularly like the burnt-out effect you achieved
That A-10 really is armed to the gills, isn't it!

I have to say that tank looks properly blasted. You've done some really great work on "ruining" it

The A-10 is wonderful and the composition of the little scene tells the whole story really well. If you'll excuse me I'll be going back through your WIP and take some notes
Awesome work, Tomcat!

Love the above aircraft shot, very very nice indeed.
You have shown that you do not need to have top end models to get a great display.
Love it.

Thanks Rob! Yep they certainly made sure the pilot had plenty of options for blowing things up
Thanks Anders - really glad you like it

Thanks buddy - appreciate your inimitable support through the build thread as always
By the way did you just get promoted to Captain or have I just not been paying attention?

Fabulous build, man. As I said above, I'm particularly a fan of the economical storytelling, not only do I get to peer at some fine work, but I get a little story to go with it! Been thinking about a burnt out wreck build and your work on the tank are bookmarked for my reference in the future.

Extremely well put together
Love the burned out tank in it's sand dio.
The aircraft on its own is awesome, with the acrylic support and flyby position....double awesome
I like that you put a pilot in the cockpit....ALL aircraft kits should have pilots
Overall, three thumbs up

Oh and yeah - I think it should be the rule that all aircraft kits should include a pilot!

How many hours did you put into the whole build?
Looks great.

I don't normally keep a log of hours as I suspect I'll scare myself about how much time I spend at the bench if I did!
I've done a rough estimate on this one and reckon there's probably in the region of sixty hours buried in there.

Nice work.I always think I'm a bit so slow when it comes to building. So its good to see others taking a relaxed pace to building.

Oh yeah - there's no chance of getting caught in the jet-wash with the speed I build at
