Oh so many ways to do the metal finish. Really depends on what you have on hand.
A good primer is a must. Robos cop has a black middle so air would go Ultimate gloss black primer
Then the paint options: Alclad Aluminum, Mr Colour Silver, Tamiya silver or even AK True Metal paints…on and on
I did a resin printed Mandelorian and used the True Metal bright aluminum. You brush paint it in and then burnish it

Check out some of the figure painters that do non-metallic metal. It's a bit more difficult looking but it comes out very nicely. Squidmar Miniatures on YouTube is a good place to look

Re: Robocop bust
I only use spray cans as don’t have air brush, I’ve been told to use filler primer on it, I have the Tamiya silver I used on my Peugeot rally car what looks similar to Robocop

If you want to replicate the shine from the movie you need to sand down the metal surfaces first. They are far too rough and will not give you a metal look regardless of what paint you use.
As its resin, wear a mask and hoover your bench regularly.
Once the surface is smooth you need a gloss black primer specially for metallics then a metal coat such as from Alclad or Vallejo's metal color range.
As mentioned, get the surfaces smooth, that's the key. The rest is gravy

Its been tried and tested, it works! So don't blame the system if you're no good.
