Tamiya 1/48 JS-2 Reveal

Post by LudvigN »

My little rebound-build is finished now. It was an enjoyable build with nice detail and good fit. Pleased with the result and I think my brother will be happy with the model. It was my first WWII armor, and I have to say, im not been infected with that sort of subjects. A nice build nontheless.

Here is the WIP-thread

Conclusion

+ Great fit
+ Nice detail
+ Beginner friendly
+ Awesome scale (1/48)

- The track system was a little tricky and would be hard to get into a dio.

Here's the pictures:

Hope you enjoyed, until next time,

That's really nice work Ludvig.
If armour isn't your thing you certainly hide it well. That's good work bud.
Did the track sag come moulded on those tracks or did you add that yourself?
It looks well done.

The sag is molded, as is the lower part. The sag looks nice, but what would one do to make that underside look realistic on a dio?

Looks good Ludvig! I see you used the Wild Weasel base for presentation ;) Sounds like a nice build!

With those tracks you couldn't do it easily. It would be easier to replace them with workable ones or to use individual links like magic tracks.
The only way to do it otherwise is by worming the tracks in hot water (not boiling) and bending them gently to the shape that you need.
