Eduard Danger Zone F-14A Tomcat

Post by JonMW »

Finally got this one done. Really nice kit with a lot of extras included in the box, I also used all the extra PE set Eduard has. There where some fit problems for the main fuselage that needed some sanding. Build it as 162702 from VF-84 Jolly Rogers that operated aboard USS Theodore Roosevelt in 1989. The plane was flowned by the CO of Jolly Rogers, Commander Rocklun "Rocky" Deal, It also bares the name of the WWII pilot Ensign Jack Ernie who was shot down in his F-4U, flying for Jolly Rogers.

Fantastic build. :bow::
After having seen it I can't wait to start mine, a very old kit that I was supposed to assemble with my Dad many many years back.
He is no longer, I'll have to honour it at the best of my capabilities.
Cheers
