1:35 Tamiya M113 "Ambulance"

Post by Pacheco »

Here the result of my first experience in the "world" of AFV models.

The old M113 Tamiya with some scratch to represent the version used by the Portuguese army.

As can be seen from the photos no wheathering effects just a "clean" model.

At the end I really liked the experience.

Well done. Like the lights and the crispy look even thou it's a bit strange with rusty tracks. Is the crosses stencils? Congrats on coming over to the dark side of afv modelling :shifty: are you staying?

Nice work. Always nice to see a clean model every now and again. I like the rusted tracks though, adds a nice dimension to the model. Very nicely done mate.

Nice one! I like the "clean" look to it. I don't want to sound like a jerk, but tracks don't normally rust. Anyways good model! :thumb2:

They were painted. And yes I intend to assemble more AFV models.

Indeed the effect was a little exaggerated.

Beautiful model Pacheco, I like Garrison "look" models myself !

Like it a lot ! Glad to see Portuguese Army stuff here ...it's not easy to choose Portuguese Army vehicles to build , as they are green or green . I was willing to do a Portuguese Army Leopard A6 , but I can't find proper decals for it ,even adaptations should be done but would like to do one one of this days .

Where did you find the decals with Portuguese Army markings , did you did them or do you buy them ?

Again congratulations on this build and good to see your first try on AFV's

:cheers2:

António, the decals are from two sheets done by "Associação de Modelismo do Montijo". Great decals.

About the paint I used one of three green colors from Zmodels.

I have one Leopard to do also and the conversion since the Portuguese tanks came from the Netherlands.

Very nice..... Very clean...... A very neat looking 113..
It takes skill to be able to build and leave clean. Or is that just me who uses mud, dust and weathering to hide a poorly built and painted kit? Lol... :th: The tracks look spot on ...Awesome stuff mate..
All the best... :thumb1:
