Here is one for you Scott, The Fiesta RS World Rally Car on test in a damp snowy Greystoke Forest earlier in the year
Henning Solberg was the test driver on the day.

I may be bias towards the Ford Fiestas, (I work part time for the Team!), but the more rally cars available the better.

I think I just came up with what to build. It's actually something I started years ago, had the engine and chassis pretty much built and waiting for paint. But at some point I misplaced everything, probably when I moved about six years ago. So now I will restart it and this time finish it. Biggest problem is that I don't know of any kit of one of these cars in plastic or resin so it needs a lot of scratch building, so that will be fun.

Something like this

or this

or I might go with a bit more '70 wedge shaped body. All of them have pretty much the same chassis, just different bodywork. There are quite a lot of options to choose from.

I like that idea, with the transporter as well ? is it a T2 as the transporter?

I think the transporter might be a T1, it's defiantly a Type 2 pick up so either T1 or T2. I might build one and do a small base for it, could look cool. If I do that I'll use a T1 as Hasegawa has a kit of that so I don't need to do any scratch building for that one as well.

Great choice, I have been trying to get this kit for ages (at a reasonable price), as driven by my team boss.
looking forward to seeing this one.

We are hoping the GB will be included in the calendar for 2016, some of us have started 'Practice' WIP's in the vehicle section.

Wilson and Finlay at the team.

I built the Tamiya kit of this car many years ago.

Those pictures were indeed from 20 years ago (not showing my age), last year Matt (Wilson), Malcolm's son ran the regional rally version of the fiesta in the Rally GB, in the iconic Pilot colours to celebrate their 20 year partnership.
(the last picture is my favourite), credit to Malcolm that he can still get into the original set of overalls.

You are indeed correct, my mistake, Robbie was in fact the second driver on the day of this test, and run the group N version of the car. :bash:

MFH makes some really nice kits, and that Lancia looks superb.

I think it's both good and bad that they mostly do 1/12 kits now. Bad since I don't have any interest in them (don't have space the for kits on my workbench or the finished models) and I would like more MFH kits, good since I save a lot of money. But I did order a limit reissue MFH kit yesterday after looking at their website. so that means five of them in the to do pile.

Almost right, Hiroboy is a retailer in Tewkesbury UK. You might be thinking of Model Factory Hiro, they are a kit maker from Japan.

It was one of my first F1 kits as a kid, been looking and had one bid, but some JA got it up over $80 USD before shipping cost and so no way.
Found a buy now from Australia for AUS$ 69+15 shipping...that is good for that kit
Aaaaand I justify another purchase
