Moody's 1/35 Dragon Jagdpanzer IV L/70 W/zimmerit Reveal

Post by SGTmoody »

So here it is, just about making it in time for the deadline!

The build thread: http://www.intscalemodeller.com/viewtop ... 51&t=20071

I had tried a few different things this time while making this, first time making a dragon kit, first time using magic tracks and the most i have ever put PE on a tank, thankfully i had bought a bending tool otherwise it probably wouldn’t have gone that well. Also this is the most i have ever weathered a tank and first try at chipping so for 50% of this i have truly been winging it haha. Oh and the few mistakes that i have made while building this, i have included them in the build thread to record the true process, we all do it wrong sometimes so its nice to show that.
I forgot to take pictures of this with the side amour plates on (sorry, its too late now) Lets say the tank commander lost them both is a large tree somewhere (apparently they use to take these of as they did get caught on undergrowth). And er the lank of tank markings was because the tank crews newest member was a doughnut and painted over them...
I don’t have any kind of photo area, not something i normally do so two bits of paper that where close to me to help with the lighting situation have had to do.

Anyhow here it is, probably the best AFV i have done so far so I’m going to have to make a base and case for it so it survives the dust and clumsy hands.

Well thanks for looking, it was a nice kit to finish and get me away from building the vulcan for a bit. It was good to follow how other people where building theirs as well some really nice finished kits and build threads to look though while the glue was drying.

Love the jagd tank destroyers, yours is a fine example. Great chipping and worn effects.
