Haha yeah, although I think if I had a space like that I would become a social pariah and never leave it! Think my relationship might go south in that case! I think just a more efficient work space, with better storage than I currently have will do for now. Got my eye on some wall hanging paint storage things I saw posted on here.

It may look clean in that photo as I had just built the desk, however my desk doesn't look like that now & yes she does look at me & then I clean that's all it takes is the look we all know THE look.

He fellas, I've been doing some renovations to the man cave the last few days.
I'm hoping it will look a little more display area/work shop rather than little shop of horrors.

I still have to attach the counter top to the bases, level the thing, then caulk it.
Then I need to figure out how to put everything back in it's place... or new place... or the crapper if none apply.

OOHHH DEM FANCY CABINETS AND SHELVES...EVEN A SINK...

Seriously my downstairs bar is barely as good as this! It doesn't even have a spray booth anyways. :thumb2: I'm planning on repainting my room and adding some shelves for models, and this gives me a great idea... :D

Apologies, I've just realised that most people outside of the UK (and quite a few inside!), will not have heard of the phrase "bees knees". To explain, it means the same thing as mutt's nuts, the poodles jewels, the dogs......................this isn't really helping is it ?!?

What I mean to say.......it looks GREAT!

As the wee kiddies would say these days, colour me "well jel" Mike.

Thankfully my Dad is an awesome carpenter and so when I have the space to have a proper modelling area that is bigger than the PC desk I currently have I will just call in Father and get him to build me some stuff!

I'm very well aquainted with the expression Bee's Knees Alex. It's really common around here.
I use it myself a lot. Muts Nuts would have gotten me a smack in the kisser when I was a kid. haha.

In regards to the sink... there is no sink... hahaha.
Just the hole. The sink is in the garage. I'll be installing that in the downstairs crapper later this year.
I'm filling the hole with an MDF blank as soon as I can use the jigsaw without wee kiddies under foot or it's not 2am. haha.
Well... back to work.

Now that is a workbench, Michael. Cabinets, counter tops, overhead fan. . . awesome. I'm sure your overall storage capacity has increased? Someday I will build myself a little workbench corner. I may even model a few parts after yours. In fact, viewing all benches here on ISM provides a lot of information and planning ideas. Thanks for sharing!

I look at this thread and I say to myself, "Paul has a sink in his work area. I wish I had a sink in my work area." Then I look at Coen's work area and see the cool ass lights his wife gave him for Christmas and I say to myself, "I wish my wife had given me those cool ass lights for Christmas. Then I look at Lee's work area and I hear his birds and I say to myself, "I wish I had birds in my work area." Then I remember that I don't even have a work area. I have a tool box and multiple tupperware containers that I drag to either the computer desk, dining room table, or coffee table depending on which if any are available. Then I say to myself, "Paul, Coen, and Lee are evil for flaunting their work areas with cool ass sinks and lights and birds at me". Yes they must be evil. Then I remember that Paul and Coen have ferrets. Ferrets are cool. So then I think, well Paul and Coen have ferrets so they couldn't be evil because ferrets are to cool to be owned by evil people. Then I forgive Paul and Coen, and chastise myself for my envy and being jealous. I'm still not sure about Lee though. Birds, though cool, could still be evil. I'm keeping my eye on Lee. By the way I've had A LOT of pain meds this morning.

Thanks guys! Next addition to the shop will hopefully be one of those GraphicAir A300S D extractor units you all seem to like. It will cost me an arm and a leg being that I'll have to source it from the UK but they seem worth the money.
