Reveal 1:35 AFV Club Tiger1 Late

Post by fly1ngdutchm4n »

Hello guys!
Time for me to reveal this Tiger1 GrossDeutschland 1944 "under maintenance" :th:
I enjoyed the build, and although I wanted to just build the Tiger, I ended up putting it in a small diorama.... :shifty:
I have to confess, this was a long and tough build with a first time zimmeritt and a building painted and weathered in oils.
Thank you all for following my build tread and for all nice comments. :cheers2:

Here are the photo's of the completed diorama, and some pics of the Tiger1 separately.
I took a lot of pics, so I can show you as much of it as I can.
A bonus animated video at the end to complete it all.

Anyway, Coen, This one is for you mate :thumb2:
Thank you for your help and advice during this rollercoaster ride.

I haven't watched the vid on doing the steel plates yet, but it obviously works! Good skills my friend :th:  :th:  :th:  :th:  :th:

And it is my best figure indeed. Really proud on it! :cheers2:

My favourite? Well I liked this build all the way, PE, first time zimmeritt, first time painting and weathering a building in oils....but Painting the figure was by far my favourite thing.

An absolute stunner Frans! :jd: Every facet of this build is top shelf, but to me it's the little things that make it awesome like the bucket and rope, the MG42,the groundwork on the dio base and that figure is very well done also.

Frans, I think I'm losing my mind, I could have sworn I left a comment on this amazing piece of work!

Love all the work you do, it has something about it that you can tell it's yours and to my mind that's a sign of truly skilled scale modeller. All of it is superb, but I especially love the figure on this one - mind-blowing!! And the hand painted insignia :jd: :jd: :cheers2:
