Hey all!

So finaly i can say my first (and last) model for 2017 is finished!

Honestly it's a great kit this hasegawa draken! And in all fairness my insecurities caused me to make some rookie/ignorant mistakes such as thinking these panel lines wouldve been too shallow... screwing around with filler, as well as painting with a new compressor and airbrush and thinning my tamiya for the first time...

So basicly yeah ive build bigger birds, but none at a mediocre level in comparison with what we see here. With that being said im used to building cars and using automotive paints and varnish... so a new world to discover for me. Not an excuse but im liking this new world :pop:

But back on track: the model
So its not build at a competitive level, dont care much either since ive had an absolute blast building this bird, ive had so much fun, great fit, in the end nice panel lines, and overall a nice model with a fine stand.
Looking at the quality of my build, im happy with the end result, the paintwork was looking to be way too rough but the dullcote did wonders, the building itself proved to be straight forward except for the tailfin a small gap wich i didnt fill correct.

All in all im a happy camper and finaly ive been able to make a start on the ace combat collection im about to build.

Anough babbling , here come some photos.
Note: i dont have a nice photobooth, my dinning/modelling table is all atm. Sooooo this also kinda looks like a home walkthrough lol

Still talking too much...

Thats it i guess then.
This was a great learning process and im eager to start a new build! For now i'm Glad my first fresh built model is on ISM!

Thanks for watching , looking , reading my jibberish.

Have a great christmas and a happy new year fellow modellers

Excellent. I love how well the panel lines are accented.
