Si's 75mm Nuts Planet Clever hunter figure

Post by ScaleModelJedi »

I thought i would have a break from my other build in this SIG and will attempt to paint the Nuts Planet Clever hunter figure over the weekend. I haven't painted many figures and non larger than 1/35 before so looking forward to giving this ago.

The item number is T75004

The figure can be built in two different poses and the kit includes two different heads and two different right arms. The casting looks really good and the fit on the parts are excellent.

Will have more soon. Thank you for looking and happy modelling :th:

The parts of the figure before clean up. There are a few tabs to remove which should be relatively easy to remove and clean up and there are a few very tiny bits of flash that will easily be removed with a scalpel.

The base. I will paint this up and add some ballast, weeds and stuff.
Image

The figure with the leg, right arm and head fitted. The leg fitted really well and was secured with a spot of CA glue. The arm required some filling as the fit was not quite as good as the leg but nothing to difficult. I used some CA gap filling glue with the excess being removed with some acetone on a cotton bud. The head is a really good fit and is not fixed as I will be painting it separately.

The guns, backpack, tools and other bits and pieces all cleaned up. These will all be painted separately and fitted afterwards.
Image

All the parts were primed with Ultimate grey prior to painting. I have started by painting all the base colours on the figure using the base colours from the Andreas paint sets these are ACS-05 Blue, ACS-013 Brown, ACS-10 Field grey, ACS-02 Black and ACS-01 Flesh.

Very nice figure, mate. I love the blue jacket, nice start!

Btw, I had no idea this figure has optional hands and 2 heads.

All these figures are so cool, and yes that jacket marks this as an awesome start!

DO you spray your colours on or are they brushed??

Thank you, the head is a really nice fit and could be left loose so you can swap the heads over but the arm needs fixing in place.

That looks to be a beautifully sculpted and cast figure and painting skills to match - really nice job so far.
