Also didn't realise it had its origins in the Sunderland flying boat - same wing design before it got beefed up for more lift to cope with the extra weight of the aircraft. You can see the Sunderland DNA origins when you look at it.

Ya the details look ok...nothing like the PE sets guys are using, but oh well

I am telling myself a lot will be seen...but not much in reality
Awesome to hear that mate - sounds like you might have a load of travelling coming up over the summer but hopefully it'll all be worthwhileTwokidsnosleep wrote: ↑Mon Jun 11, 2018 3:56 pmThese are all the pre-try outs before the main camps to make a junior team. One more to attend still.
So he has made two team's main camps to try and win a roster spot plus a third team that is a maybe but it is with his last year's coach who is now the head coach and he likes Ced a lot. He will practice with these three over the next two months before they do their main camps.
A lot more options than he had last year
Same sentiment from me mate. Best of luck to him.Tomcat64 wrote: ↑Mon Jun 11, 2018 5:12 pmAwesome to hear that mate - sounds like you might have a load of travelling coming up over the summer but hopefully it'll all be worthwhileTwokidsnosleep wrote: ↑Mon Jun 11, 2018 3:56 pmThese are all the pre-try outs before the main camps to make a junior team. they will look so much better...can't wait to see ...what brand ?Twokidsnosleep wrote: ↑Mon Jun 11, 2018 8:21 pm I bit the bullet and bought some Browning 303 Barrels off eBay today.
Mine are too cartoonish and for $20 I got eight metal barrels that will match perfectly
Time vs money argument as I would spend more effort/time and still not get the results
Cheers guys on the hockey support...sorry to others to drone on like a over-proud parent, since that is what I am![]()

They are 'Mini World' British Browning .303 Aircraft Machine gun barrels.digger303 wrote: ↑Mon Jun 11, 2018 11:14 pmthey will look so much better...can't wait to see ...what brand ?Twokidsnosleep wrote: ↑Mon Jun 11, 2018 8:21 pm I bit the bullet and bought some Browning 303 Barrels off eBay today.

I cannot duplicate that slot in the cooling jacket and the knurled part at the end of the barrel.
These just looked too good and for $20 to get 8 of them...sold

Ya, I think they will be darn good and they are such a prominent part of the aircraft

Will bring you up to speed Will..... Smick is an old slang is meaning " excellent " ... It is as old as me. The kids would be just as perplexed as the other jokers...

Then I need them testing cos that thing fell out of the ugly tree and hit every branch on the way down!

Yep, something about a little heft to a model I really likeTomcat64 wrote: ↑Tue Jun 19, 2018 8:56 am Nice work on the detailing down the back end. mate![]()
Interesting about adding the weight thoughI'd never considered it for a tail sitter before but it's the same as adding weight to an armour kit to give it that heft... hmmm... there's space in the Buckingham...
