"The Six" and "The Fishbed" 1/72

Well they took a little longer to get done then I thought but here they are now  . I was going for a Mig-21 pilot defecting to NATO and he was just escorted by the F-106. The base was done by my boy and I in last few months to display our work. We used foam board, plaster, and acrylics. Grass is made of wood shavings mix with green and dirt is dirt/grout mix. Very much enjoyed these two kits. The F-106 had more parts and details and went together very well. The Mig-21 had more flash and forming of parts to be done. It is over 30 years old tho. Glad I waited and did the old kit. It had a bonus in that 37 was my first football number and am kinda partial to it. In the end I like how the Mig turned out better then the Six. The Six got a small enamel wash but didn't like the way it was going. I tried more weathering on the Mig using an acrylic wash and then chalk pastels. Now I know if I mess up I can always (almost) fix it. Thanks for looking.

Two really nice builds there - just shows the total difference in size of some of these aircraft!
Cheers, Neil

Thank you kindly. The size difference surprised my son and I. At first I thought it was boxed wrong but the more I read online the more I learned their roles and specs. I find the research to be just as fun as building.
