Eduard 1/72 Bf 110 g-4

Post by Quax »

Hopefully I'll get this done before the 30/11 but I'm off on holiday now for two weeks so this is to force me out of the inevitable inertia when I return! :shifty:

This is my second attempt at an Eduard aircraft, the first was a 1/48th FW 190D-9 about 4 or so years ago, it has been the only kit I have completely given up on and trashed - it was beyond my ability at the time (probably still is)

The cockpit assembly comes first and goes together without too much issue, seatbelt fixing points are a bit vague and really the back of the pilots seat should be drilled to fit the belts (100% hindsight....)

It looks like the main dials are off kilter and that's because they are.... there's actually a slight twist in the cockpit floor which comes out when fitted between the fuselage halves.

These pictures were taken after that well known army officer Major Disaster stepped in. I decided in my ultimate wisdom to use Alclad 2 Klear Kote Flat to flatten the gloss, unfortunately it took Major Exception (Major Disasters cousin) to the oil wash and turned everything white.... :ooops:

including the pe...

panic ensues...

Fortunately I had some Mig type white spirit on the desk and this removed it (mostly) I then sprayed my usual Windsor and Newton matt and all was okish as per above and below

sorry for the long post but thanks for looking
