Armourfast Stug iii 1/72 x2

Post by Quax »

So to fill in a little time before the sci fi Sig that I seem to have got myself into I decided to do this. There are 2 kits in the box and retail somewhere around £10. I would say it's not a first kit although it's very simple the instructions are quite basic and there are no real locating points, I had to look at a 1/35 one a couple of times to be sure of what I was doing. So to the pics, painted with Ultimate black primer then AK Real Color dunkelgelb

Well they definitely do what they say on the tin!

Nice work mate - how did you get on with the AK Real Colours? I had a dabble with them last year but couldn't get a consistent finish off them.

thanks guys :th: :th:
To answer your question Neil I think they're great, I only use MLT with them and have had no issues. I would say they're a lot like Tamiya should have been, theres no need to get the chemistry set out to try to mix eye of newt and leg of bat to get olivegrun  They go on very smoothly and take filters well, however white is still a little like mixing C-Stoff and T-Stoff..... In short I have cursed and sworn hardly at all using it (except white), I'm still rubbish but now I cant blame the paint!

cheers
