May be a daft question but why does it have the graticule scale around the turret?

These were the Royal Marine Armoured Support Group and the compass is so that on D-DAY they could give support fire from within the landing craft guided by a spotter from outside.

Eduard MiG21MF 1/72
the decal scheme has been haunting me now for sometime so I decided to have a go. First let me say Eduard and I have a Love Hate relationship - I love the look of them but hate the fact that they never go to plan (for me) Its a nice kit but I couldnt get the cockpit to sit right hence a big gap around the area above where the bang seat is and , I admit now, I couldnt be bothered to make it good. :ooops: I have two things to say about the decals - the swordfish is quite thick and vinyly but does settle down when battered by intravenous Ultimate extra strong. The stencils on the otherhand are about a micron thick and roll up on themselves as soon as they hit the water, theres also about 600 of them - in 1/72? - nah.....didnt fancy it so used a few of the bigger ones just to fill in a few holes; if anyone is building a 1/72 mig 21 and needs more stickers let me know and I'll post them happily.
here we go and thanks for reading, a large black canine has been a constant companion for a while now so I apologise now to all those whose builds have been amazing but... well you know.

the figures and m\c are not with the kit and I've used Friul tracks rather than the individual plastic links that came with the kit. It dows come with full interior along with engine and gearbox but I couldnt for the life of me get it to fit under the bonnet so gave up.

Eduard FW190 D-9 1/48

this kit is my bete noir, I cockily tried this when I first came back to modelling about 5 years ago and promptly fell flat on my face so I decided to try again. Its still not fully opened up and its a kit thats not really designed to build closed down hence in the wings one is up and the other down... In about another 5 years I might be good enough to do the whole thing properly but...

Revell Me 262 B1U1 1/32 I had major issues with this, the vast majority of which were my own mistakes, trying to button it up rather than have guns and engine exposed was part one but I also had a.mare with the glossy varnish and then in a moment of utter madness used a brush with MLT on it to try to move some dust which of course it did along with the paint underneath.... :eeek: :pistols:

It's a 1997 kit and beginning to show its age especially the decals, I had to use a upper wing cross saved from 1/48 Fw 190D for one side. I also for the life of me couldn't get the antlers to sit straight, if I was building it again I would consider drilling and fitting a fine wire as a brace
