The Lunar Rover 3D Printed 1/35 Final Reveal

Post by hansolo »

Hi guys,

Final reveal.
I'm making a bit of jump here, cause the phone that I made some pictures on, is now dead.
Those are lost. I made the final pictures with an other camera. So there's a jump from unpainted to final.

As I told you in the build thread, I also made the dio with the 3D printer.
I printed out the relief, covered it with a thin layer of DAS clay, sprinkled salt for moon dust texture and painted it grey.
I weathered the astronaut and the lunar rover with a dark wash and some wet pigments and in the end - when they were attached to the base -
I gave them a touch of grey to make them a little dusty and blend them in with the moon surface.

Here are the results.

That's one small step for 3D printing and modeling, one giant leap for mankind. Just amazing! :thumb2: :thumb2: :thumb2:
