Bronco 1/35 Panzer II Ausf D1 Polish Campaign

Post by Coen »

He fellas,
So here's my entrant into the SIG, it's Bronco's Panzer II Ausf D1 in 1/35.
I've heard good things about this kit and very few bad, so I'm hoping that it's one of Bronco's winners instead of their losers.

I'll start with a couple of pics of what's in the box and I'll repost the Kit review that I did awhile back, some of you have already seen it.

All in all it looks to me to be a good kit and I'm hoping to build something interesting out of it.
I have an idea for a diorama but I need to do some more research on it before I start.
Have fun everyone.!!!

Thanks Luis for setting this up.

I think almost all the main manufacturers are being represented in this GB. Never built anything from Bronco. Looking forward to seeing how she builds up.

I've been kinda going crazy on this kit.
It just fell together. No filler, no fit issues, no missing parts... awesome.
I built this much in about 6 hours spread over two days.

I started the detail painting this morning after the base coat was put on.
I used Vallejo Air Panzer Grey for the base then hit all the upper surfaces with the same but with about 5% white added to mimic sun fading the paint.
I don't use colour modulation as I see it as unnecessary and ineffective as a tool.
I just use the normal light in the room since that's all that will ever be available anyway.

If you mean damage to the exhaust, then no the tank would have been almost a new issue so there wouldn't have been much in the way of damage to the exhaust, a fair amount of rust but that's all.
As for the rest of the vehicle I can still add some damage. Antitank hits and some crumpled fenders, that sort of thing.
