Kiwigavs Y-Wing

Post by kiwigav »

Reveal Time

Here is my Bandai Y-Wing with Dio. This is my first diorama as such and I am pretty pleased with it, As I had to keep within a small budget on the dio I am please how using small armor parts and scratch built parts has come out.

The Kit
This by far is the best Bandai kit I have built so far. It has a large amount of detail and from what I can tell pretty darn accurate too. piping detail pretty fiddly but the kit goes together like a dream. I full recommend this kit to everyone.

I plan to buy another y-wing one day and light it up once I have mastered that skill. Dream dio would be a full trench run with Bandai Y-Wing, X-wing, Falcon and Tie fighters...one day

Here are the photos

Superb effort mate. The Y-wing alone is awesome but the setting is brilliant. I wonder if the pilot survived the battle of Yavin and what his fortunes were over the rest of the saga.

Brilliantly evocative

Its been tried and tested, it works! So don't blame the system if you're no good.

This is sweet. The backdrop and activity really fits the beat up and weathered Y-Wing. It's funny, when I think Y-Wing I actually see the Yavin hanger before a Death Star run. Dunno why.

It all looks great, Gav. I really want to grab a Y-wing now based on your build :th:

I love the Y-Wing! I think it is tougher looking than the X-Wing. Beautiful work - on the kit and the diorama! :th: :th:
