MWindir's 1:72 Leopard 2A6M

Post by MWindir »

Ok..here we go..this is it...all done..

I started back 3 months ago, but apart from taking initial pictures the project stalled as I had other interests. It all came back to life just under 2 weeks ago so I picked it up and went full on. Took me just over a week to complete this one. You can find more details in build thread. It is kind of free style variation on Danish 2A5's which were deployed in Afganistan in 2006. They had easily worn desert camouflage.
The kit has some flaws and feels inferior to other 1:72 Revell's military stuff I have done in the past. Fit issues, some soft details, square wheels are most prominent issues.

Feel free to comment. Appreciate all the input. (Right click to open images in new window/tab in hi res)

Awesome! :thumb1:

I love the cammo - I think the chipped desert cammo ended up really nice and taken into account that it's a 1/72 scale kit the overall appearance is fantastic! :thumb2:

Well done!

:cheers2:

Fabulous result, especially keeping the weathering and chipping to scale at 1/72 - really well done
