Post by Paul »

ISM Car Modelling Techniques Part 1 - Bodywork and Wheel Preparation

The first part in a 10 part series showing the process i use to build a model car.

In part 1 i discuss the build and what i hope to achieve in the upcoming parts.

I reviewed the kit i plan to build here

As i say in the video, this may not be the right way of doing it but its my way and thats all i'm trying to show :)

A part will be uploaded each Sunday at 12pm GMT

Feel free to ask any questions and/or leave any comments on the uploaded video and don't forget to like the video :)

Don't forget our live shows, every Friday from 7:30pm Uk time live on this channel :)

Great to see you back on the techniques bunny Paul.

Thank you for sharing your knowledge and expertise. The changes you have made, particularly with the voiceover, have taken your already excellent tutorials to another level.

Having watched your previous vids that ultimately got me back into modelling, I sense the frustrated and unknown car builder within me might be awakening

Well that was half an hour well spent!

Like everyone said it's great to see these back up again Paul - especially given how much work has to go into getting them in shape.

:cheers2:

ISM Car Modelling Techniques Part 1 Bodywork and Wheel Preparation

A nice tutorial. Defiantly one to use. The bike its self looks great, and seems to fit well, but is there any other way of arranging that back turret? It just seems a little unnatural to me.

Hi there. I am brand new to modelling and have just bought a Revell Land Rover and a few bits and pieces to start me off (paints, brushes, glues and tweezers etc.), but I'm having difficulty in sourcing the sanding sticks/sponges and buffing sticks you are using. Where do you get yours from please?

Thanks,

Ott

Thanks. There's another 30-odd quid on sanding stuff. This modelling lark gets expensive quickly! Hopefully a lot of this expense are for one-off (or at least not frequent) purchases. Must've done about £150 for a £25 model so far, and that's without entering the world of airbrushing...
