What an amazing and eclectic mix of models, all I must say done to the absolute top notch quality, I am gobsmacked not just by the quality but the phenomenal quantity, I thought I used to be a prolific builder but that is just in another league.
Masterful builds from an obvious master.

Thanks everyone. I would have to offer my thanks to the various modeling forums to allow me to participate in the many group builds that are offered. That my friends is why it appears my interests are far and wide. Originally I would've put my modeling builds in the following priority:

- competition vehicles / race cars
- military aircraft
- Armor and military ground equipment
- figures
- ships
- space and sci-fi

But now I am not sure how the order would be and I like it that way. Thanks again for looking at my collection as well as your kind and encouraging words.

Ben

Brand: Revell
Scale: 1/32
Kit: Arado AR196-B
Paint: Vallejo, MIG, Tamiya, and Testors

Other Items:
- Kit World 3d printed seat harnesses
- Master Model machined machine guns with PE sight
- Eduard canopy mask
- Verlinden printed battle maps
- Aerobonus Stuka pilot and gunner figures (modified)
- Quickboost resin open port exhaust ends
- Trumpeter riveting tool on wings, fuselage, and floats
- Alley Cat replacement canopy set (air bubble in kit part)
- Eduard propeller and spinner
- Master Models 7.7mm Breeda Italian MG barrels in wings
- Guitar string used for cable wire bracing the floats
- Kit World Decals set for an Italian Dornier DO-335A
- Hungarian Aero Decals for the Italian Fiat CR-42
- Eduard spinner masking spiral rings
- Custom 6 inch round wood base with routed edge
- Custom photo image of Italy added to display base
- modifications using brass, aluminum, resin, and solder

This aircraft was built by my special needs son and I (Jarrod and Ben respectively) and represents one of the Arado AR196-B single main float variants that were dispatched to Italy for duty in the Mediterranean. The aircraft did not arrive with any weapons in the wings, only the German 7.92mm shooting through the engine cowling, so the Italian's added 7.7mm Breeda Italian MG's in each wing. The camouflage is a disrupter cross hatched line effect, as shown on the Savoia Marchette SM79 schemes during the period.

We know it is not perfect, but it is a decent looking 3 foot model. Please let us know what you think of her.

Thanks digger and thanks too for keeping up with the build along the way, especially the front push bar and cabin plumbing. Your input definitely contributed to the locomotive build.

Hey Paul, thanks for checking in with us. I have to give the forum credit for the different modeling subjects. Those Group Builds and special interest items really spark our interest. We find that we learn things from modeling one subject that can be transferred to another. The many different items keep it interesting and fresh too. We are going back to a piece of armor next.

Well BigWall, that was exactly what we were going after. When looking at the build history of that specific kit, many builders either used real wood, which was OK but you could tell it was just sticks, or they didn't put any effort in the wood pile portion of the build. We wanted to see if we could add some realism to the single piece of plastic so thanks for noticing.

Thought Imposted this here already, but evidently not. This was a full resin kit from China. The bike was originally 3 pieces and the figure 4 parts. The base was included in the kit but has been modified (like everything else).

The diversity in this thread makes me a bit jealous... not in a bad, or weird way, just a way in which I think man, some people are really talented and I'm just pursuing a hobby. I hope you take that as a compliment...

I really enjoy looking at the variety of subjects you have in here. It's fantastic and really just a very wide range of models that you've shown. I love looking at the different posts in here and thank you very much for sharing.:

Sorry fella's, as I use Imjur to host all my images. Just wondering, does it impact ALL of the images I've ever posted, or just the most recent ones?

Hi Ben, unfortunately I went to the beginning of this thread in 2018 (I know, you don't look old enough!   ) and none are visible :( I do have a vpn available so its not a disaster for me as I can still get to your amazing work!

cheers

Although competent with IT systems and their use I'm completely in the dark as to the selection of a VPN and their hidden costs etc if any.
